Illinois Lottery Player Scores Nearly $1.7 Million Jackpot Playing Fastplay

CHICAGO, March 5, 2026 — Someone in Illinois just became a whole lot richer, winning nearly $1.7 million in the Illinois Lottery's FastPlay™ Ultimate Diamond Jackpot game. The lucky winner, who played online yesterday, hit an incredible jackpot worth $1,694,919.

Illinois Lottery players continue to win life-changing prizes with FastPlay. Just two weeks ago, another fortunate FastPlay player scored $1,497,172 after purchasing a winning ticket in Mount Vernon for the Cash Castle game. More than 20 Illinois Lottery players have won prizes worth $1 million or more with FastPlay since the game was introduced.

The Ultimate Diamond Jackpot is a FastPlay progressive game exclusive to the Illinois Lottery. The jackpot starts at $75,000 and increases with every ticket sold across the state—both in-store and online—until someone wins.
