CHICAGO, February 6, 2026 — A Forest Park gas station is celebrating after selling a winning Powerball® ticket worth a cool $1 million.
The winning ticket was sold at Refiners Citgo, located at 7323 Randolph St. in Forest Park.
One lucky Illinois Lottery player matched all five white ball numbers in the Wednesday, February 4, Powerball drawing to win the $1 million prize. The winning numbers were: 27-29-30-37-58.
“I couldn’t believe it—we’ve been waiting for this moment!,” said Jagdish Singh, store owner. “We don’t know who the winner is yet, but with all the local foot traffic, there’s a good chance they’re from the surrounding area.”
This is the largest lottery prize ever sold at Refiners Citgo since Singh purchased the business 15 years ago. The station has been a neighborhood fixture since the 1930s, originally operating under the name Refiners Pride before rebranding as a Citgo location.
“We sold a $400,000 scratch-off ticket last summer, but this is our first time hitting the million-dollar mark,” Singh said.
For selling the winning $1 million Powerball ticket, Refiners Citgo will receive a retailer bonus equal to 1% of the prize amount, totalling $10,000.
“The timing couldn’t be better,” Singh added. “We’ve been eager to invest in store upgrades, including a new cooler, and our customers will really benefit from those improvements.”
This is the first Powerball prize of $1 million or more sold in Illinois so far this year.
Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday evenings at 9:59 PM CT. Tickets can be purchased in-store or online via the Illinois Lottery website and mobile app. Powerball tickets are $2 each, and players can add the Power Play for an additional $1 for the chance to multiply non-jackpot prizes.
The Powerball jackpot for Saturday, February 7, 2026 drawing is an estimated $102 million.
