CHICAGO, February 23, 2026 — Excitement is building in the small town of Harvard, Illinois after a $1.15 million winning Lucky Day Lotto® ticket was purchased at a local convenience store over the weekend.

The winning ticket was sold at Chemung Country Store, located at 24102 IL Route 173, for the February 21 evening drawing. The winning numbers were 2-15-28-31-43.

“Our store has been a staple of the community for over 38 years,” said Mark Smith, co-owner of Chemung Country Store. “Our customer base is largely made up of loyal, local customers, so we’re all hoping the winner is one of our regulars.”

For selling the jackpot-winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket, Chemung Country Store will receive a bonus of one percent of the prize amount—$11,500.

“Over the years, we’ve celebrated quite a few winners, but this is one of our biggest,” Smith added.

As for how the store plans to use the bonus, Smith noted that much of the funds will be reinvested into the business. “We’ll put most of it back into operations and improvements, but we also plan to reward our staff in recognition of their dedication and excellent customer service.”

Nearly 74,000 winning tickets were sold in Saturday evening’s Lucky Day Lotto drawing, awarding more than $1.3 million in total prizes to players across Illinois.

Winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prize. The Illinois Lottery encourages all lucky winners to sign the back of their ticket and store it in a safe place until they are ready to claim their prize.

Lucky Day Lotto is an Illinois-only draw game with two daily drawings at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m., and jackpots starting at $100,000. Tickets are available in-store, online, and via the Illinois Lottery app.
