Two New Lottery Millionaires In Illinois
One player scores record-breaking Cash Castle jackpot, while another strikes it rich with Lucky Day Lotto

CHICAGO, July 28, 2025 — Two Illinois iLottery players are celebrating life-changing wins after waking up as newly-minted millionaires.
One lucky online player scored a historic $1,763,224 jackpot playing Cash Castle — the largest prize ever won in the game’s short history. This comes just months after a $1.4 million Cash Castle jackpot was claimed in April.
Cash Castle is the Illinois Lottery’s latest $30 progressive FastPlay game and features the highest starting jackpot of any FastPlay game in Illinois, beginning at $100,000 and grows with every ticket sold statewide until the jackpot is won. Since its debut in late February, nearly 543,000 winning Cash Castle tickets have been sold, paying out over $43.8 million in total prizes to players across the state.
The second big iLottery winner won a $1.1 million jackpot in the Lucky Day Lotto midday drawing on Sunday, July 27, after matching all five winning numbers: 14-22-23-32-36. That drawing generated over 26,500 winning tickets.
Lucky Day Lotto is an Illinois-only draw game with two daily drawings at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m., offering players more chances to win big.
Tickets for both Cash Castle and Lucky Day Lotto are available in-store, online, or on the Illinois Lottery app.
