Illinois Lottery Celebrates Halloween With Mega Millions “Ticket Grab Challenge” In Bridgeport

October 30th, 2025

Top 10 “Winningest” Mega Millions Retailers of 2025 Unveiled

CHICAGO, October 30, 2025 — This Halloween is set to be both spooky and spectacular, as the largest Mega Millions® jackpot ever offered on Halloween—an incredible $754 million—is up for grabs this Friday, October 31. This is the ninth-largest jackpot in Mega Millions history.

To celebrate this life-changing prize, the Illinois Lottery is inviting players to join the Halloween Mega Millions “Ticket Grab Challenge” in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood—turning Halloween into a chance for frightfully good fortune.

From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Snappy Convenience—located at 2477 S. Archer Ave. in Chicago—players will have the opportunity to scoop up over 700 free Mega Millions tickets ahead of Friday night’s drawing.

The event will feature the Illinois Lottery’s popular “Ticket Grab” machine, filled with Mega Millions tickets ready to be snatched by excited participants. Once inside the money machine, players will have five thrilling seconds to grab as many tickets as they can.

To add to the festive spirit, attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their best Halloween costumes.

Can’t make it to the event? Illinois Lottery players can still try their luck by purchasing a Mega Millions ticket at one of Illinois’ top 10 “winningest” lottery retailers or at any of the nearly 7,000 retail locations statewide. These locations have sold the most winning Mega Millions tickets so far this year.

Mega Millions tickets are $5 each and include a randomly assigned multiplier that improves all winning non-jackpot prizes by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or 10X.

Mega Millions b-roll is available for the media; download here.

As the Mega Millions jackpots continue to grow, the Illinois Lottery reminds players to play for fun, not funds. Be Smart, Play Smart®. Must be 18 or older to play. Game odds available at IllinoisLottery.com

NOTES:
