CHICAGO, January 30, 2024 – An Illinois Lottery player is shining bright like a diamond after winning the top prize on a Diamond Dollars scratch-off lottery ticket.

The $500,000 winning Instant Ticket was purchased for $10 at Schnuck’s at 3134 11th Street in Rockford.

This win also comes with a shiny selling bonus for the retailer of one percent of the prize amount. For Schnuck’s in Rockford, that means a bonus of $5,000.

10 might be the lucky number at Schnuck’s in Rockford, because this isn’t the first time the retailer has sold a $10 lottery ticket that won a big prize. In November of last year, the same store sold a $10 top-prize-winning $250,000 Crossword ticket.

So far this year, over five million winning Illinois Lottery Instant Tickets have been sold, netting players over $123 million in prizes.

The Illinois Lottery currently offers a range of Instant Ticket games priced from $1 to $50, available at approximately 7,000 retail locations across Illinois.

The Illinois Lottery encourages all winners to write their name on the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they’re ready to claim their prize. Winners should visit IllinoisLottery.com/winning for more information on how to claim their prize.
