Summit Resident Wins $250,000 On Crossword Instant Ticket

CHICAGO, March 8, 2022 – Illinois Lottery player Delores Brassfield from Summit has just won the grand prize of $250,000 Crossword Instant Ticket game.
Brassfield is a regular Instant Ticket player and bought her winning ticket from her local lottery retailer in the BP at 6034 S. Archer Road in Summit.
Brassfield scratched the ticket to reveal that she had matched every single word on the Crossword ticket, and was surprised to have won such a big amount.
“I had to count it a million times. I couldn’t believe this was real,” said Brassfield.
“Usually, I buy my tickets from a machine, but this time I purchased it from behind the counter. I bought one ticket and won. I feel so lucky,” added Brassfield.
Brassfield is already planning how she will spend her sudden windfall. “I am so grateful, because now I will have the opportunity to help my family - my daughters, grandchildren and sister,” she said.
When it comes to playing the lottery, Brassfield sees Instant Tickets as the occasional treat and she has won prizes ranging from $20 to $140 on her favorite game - Crossword instants.
“If you have extra money, treat yourself and buy a ticket.. Have fun, but be responsible,” added Brassfield.
The retailer will also receive a bonus of $2,500 (one percent of the prize amount) for selling the winning Instant Ticket.
