$16,000,000 Lotto Jackpot Won in Vernon Hills!

VERNON HILLS – If you bought a Lotto ticket in Vernon Hills, you may want to check it right away! A convenience store located in Vernon Hills sold a $16,000,000 winning Lotto ticket in the Monday, December 30, evening drawing.

The winning ticket was purchased at Bucky’s Convenience Stores, 294 E. Townline Road, in Vernon Hills and matched all six numbers – 01 - 03 - 06 - 09 - 17 - 23 – to win the jackpot. The retailer will receive a bonus of $160,000, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.

The Illinois Lottery urges the lucky winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until they either call the player hotline at 1-800-252-1775 or visit one of the Lottery’s five Prize Centers in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield or Fairview Heights. Winners have one year from the original drawing date to claim their prize

More than 97,800 other prizes, ranging from $1 to $650, were won in this Lotto drawing. In all, players won $16,224,800 in this drawing.  Lotto drawings are held once a day, three days a week on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
