$1,000,000 Mega Millions Winning Ticket Sold in Tilton

TILTON, IL – If you bought a Mega Millions ticket in Tilton, you may want to check it right away! A grocery store in Tilton sold a $1,000,000 winning Mega Millions ticket for the Tuesday, October 29, drawing.

The winning ticket was purchased at County Market, 1628 Georgetown Road, in Tilton and matched all five numbers – 4 - 9 - 17 - 27 - 39 – but not the Mega Ball, which was 22.  The retailer will receive a bonus of $10,000, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.

The Illinois Lottery urges the lucky winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until they visit one of the Lottery’s five Prize Centers in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield or Fairview Heights. Winners have one year from the original drawing date to claim their prize.

More than 15,000 other prizes, ranging from $2 to $20,000 were won in this Mega Millions drawing. In all, players won more than $1,103,000 in this drawing. Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday. For more information or to play online, please visit illinoislottery.com.
