Location Services
What are location services?
Location services allow either websites or apps to verify your location through your Wi-Fi, wired, or cellular internet connection. The Illinois Lottery website and app use this service to verify that you are in the State of Illinois before allowing you to make a purchase.
The Illinois Lottery will not use location services without your permission. If the Illinois Lottery is unable to locate you, it will prevent you from making a purchase. As a result, in order to make an Illinois Lottery purchase online or via the app, you must provide permission for location services by opting in when prompted.
How will you ask me to opt in to location services on the Illinois Lottery website or app?
When you first visit the Illinois Lottery website, you will receive a prompt that asks for your permission to use location services. To opt in, click ALLOW.
You will also receive this same prompt during the app set up process. To opt in, tap ALLOW.
