The website says I am located outside of Illinois, but I am not, so how do I correct the location?
While you may be physically located in Illinois, your phone or computer’s IP address might be registered elsewhere. We utilize several data points to verify that you are in Illinois at the time of your purchase, including your IP address. Most internet providers utilize dynamic IP addresses that can change and may resolve to locations outside of Illinois.
We suggest using a site (e.g., IPLocation.net) to check the IP address on the device you are using and see where it resolves. If it shows that you are outside Illinois, try toggling your Wi-Fi on or off or restarting your phone to see if that changes the IP address in use. If you are still experiencing issues, we recommend that you contact your cell phone company or Wi-Fi provider and ask them to update your IP address.
How do I enable location services on my iPhone?
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services. Make sure that Location Services is turned on. If you are using the Illinois Lottery app, then scroll down and find the Illinois Lottery app. Tap on it and select Always or While Using the App. If you are accessing the Illinois Lottery website via a browser on your phone, please find the browser and select While Using the App.
How do I enable location services on my Android device?
Go to Settings > Location. Make sure that Location is turned on. Then, scroll down and find the browser or app that you want to allow access to your location. Tap on it and select Ask every time or Allow only while using the app.
How do I enable location services on my Windows computer?
Go to Settings > Privacy > Location. Make sure that Location is turned on. Then, scroll down and find the browser or app that you want to allow access to your location. Click on it and select Allow.
How do I enable location services on my Mac computer?
Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services tab. Make sure that Location Services is turned on. Then, scroll down and find the browser or app that you want to allow access to your location. Check the box next to it.
